Six of the 17 wrestlers from Penn College secured top-six finishes at their home invitational, where the team ranked 24th in the NWCA Division III Tournament Team Rankings, achieved fifth place out of eight teams. The event took place on Saturday in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Luke Heimbach and Kaden Ware both finished fourth in their respective weight classes, with Heimbach competing at 125 pounds and Ware at 133 pounds. Patrick Snoke and Travis Green each secured fifth place with records of 4-1, while Gabriel Kennedy-Citeroni also finished fifth with a record of 3-1. TJ Martin ended his day in sixth place after going 3-2.
The competition saw Averett and Delaware Valley tie for first place in the team standings, each scoring 136 points. Lycoming followed with 103 points, Muhlenberg scored 93.5 points, and Penn College earned a total of 79.5 points. Castleton, Scranton, and Elmira College rounded out the field.
Penn College is set to compete next at the Virginia Duals on January 12-13.
