Penn College's wrestling team concluded their regular season with a narrow loss to Marymount. The Wildcats, led by Nicholai Brotzman, finished the dual match season with a 9-12 record after falling 24-20 to the Saints, who ended their season at 5-13.
The competition saw both teams winning five bouts each. However, Marymount secured the victory with two falls and a crucial forfeit win at 184 pounds.
Nicholai Brotzman achieved his 20th pin of the season in just over a minute. Other victories for Penn College came from Noah Hunt with a technical fall at 141 pounds, and decision wins by Luke Heimbach at 125 pounds, TJ Martin at 149 pounds, and Cavin Napoletano at 165 pounds.
In additional matches, Penn College won six out of eight. Ryan Trimber and Patrick Snoke earned falls at 141 pounds, Brett Patton pinned his opponent at 157 pounds, while Logan Ledebohm did so at 165 pounds. Ayden Sprague posted a tech fall at 157 pounds and Jonathan Altimarino-Bautista won by decision at 149 pounds.
Next on the schedule for Penn College is the NCAA Mideast Region Championships in Rochester, New York, set for Friday and Saturday.
