The men's and women's tennis teams concluded their 2022-23 season with records of 2-8 overall, 1-5 in the UE for the men, and 2-9 overall, 0-5 in the conference for the women.

Freshman Logan Ogden from South Williamsport stood out for the men's team with an impressive 8-1 record at No. 5 singles. Freshman Kyle Shuler from Williamsport achieved a balanced record of 5-5 at No. 2 singles, while sophomore Paul Langbein from Carnegie ended with a 4-6 record at No. 1 singles. In doubles play, senior Jesse Kight from Williamsport paired with senior Zack Burkhart from Milton to secure a 2-1 record. The pairs of Langbein-Kight and Langbein-Shuler both finished with a record of 2-2.

On the women's side, freshman Lauren Peck from South Williamsport led her team with a 3-4 performance at No. 2 singles. In doubles matches, freshman Emma Fox from Myerstown and junior Georgia Macensky from Wellsboro each recorded two wins.

Interim coach Britni Mohney reflected on the season: "It was a good year for our tennis players," she said. "With so many first-year players coming in and out of the order, the team was able to adapt well and compete at the highest level throughout the spring. The players worked hard to push themselves daily, creating some memorable matches against their opponents."

Looking ahead, Mohney acknowledged that "we lose some important pieces to the puzzle after graduation but are excited to see what next season holds."

Postseason honors were awarded to Paul Langbein (Carnegie) who made it onto the UE All-Sportsmanship Team for men’s tennis and Ellen Buckley (Binghamton, New York) who received similar recognition for women’s tennis.
