Rob Lytle's first full season as the coach of the Wildcats concluded with notable achievements. The team secured three first-place, three second-place, and one third-place finish in 11 multi-team events. Among these victories was the UE championship win, which earned Lytle Coach of the Year honors. This victory also secured an automatic berth in the NCAA Division III Championship, where the Wildcats finished 37th out of a competitive 43-team field.

A significant contributor to the team's success was sophomore Peyton Mussina from Montoursville. Mussina transferred from Averett University and led the team with a scoring average of 75.3 per 18-hole round. He achieved medalist honors twice and finished second twice during both fall and spring seasons.

Other key players included sophomore Will Orwig from Mifflintown, who had a scoring average of 79.6, followed by sophomores Gavin Baer from Bainbridge and junior Trevor Keaton from Worcester, both averaging 81.8. Freshman Gunner Redmond from Lock Haven averaged 83.1.

All players are expected to return for the upcoming fall season.

Reflecting on their performance, Lytle expressed optimism about future prospects: "This was a great, great tune-up because I believe we'll be doing this again, year after year after year."

He added: "I promised the college that I would take the golf team to the next level, and that's what I want to do."

Lytle emphasized his appreciation for his players' dedication to academics: "They're not coming to Penn College to play golf; they're coming to Penn College for a really good education, and they can play golf."

Lytle concluded by stating his commitment to advancing the program: "I didn't come in to be average; I came in to take this program to the next level."

Postseason honors were awarded as follows: Peyton Mussina received UE first team recognition; Gunner Redmond and Will Orwig made it onto the UE second team; Rob Lytle was named UE Coach of the Year; Trevor Keaton was named to the UE All-Sportsmanship Team.
