The University of Pennsylvania men's basketball team is set to commence its Ivy League season with a match against Dartmouth. The game, scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Leede Arena in Hanover, New Hampshire, marks the 226th meeting between the two teams. Historically, Penn holds a significant advantage over Dartmouth with a record of 160-65.

Penn enters the game with a 4-9 record overall, while Dartmouth stands at 6-7. Both teams are yet to play an Ivy League game this season. Last year, Penn dominated their encounters with Dartmouth, winning both games by substantial margins.

Sophomore Sam Brown was particularly notable in last year's matchup at Leede Arena, scoring a career-high 26 points by making six out of seven three-point attempts. In their first meeting last year at The Palestra, Penn managed to hit 13 consecutive field goals before halftime.

This season, Penn has seen several new additions to its roster. Among them are transfers Ethan Roberts from Drake, Dylan Williams from Triton College, and Michael Zanoni from Mercer. Senior Nick Spinoso is currently averaging seven rebounds per game, tying him for second place among Ivy League players.

Ethan Roberts has been performing well recently, averaging 18.7 points per game over his last seven contests. Another standout player is sophomore Niklas Polonowski who scored 32 points across his last three games after contributing minimally in the initial part of the season.

Fans can follow the game on ESPN+ or listen through the Quaker Audio Network where Matt Leon will provide play-by-play commentary alongside analyst Stan Pawlak.
