The University of Pennsylvania men's basketball team is set to conclude its non-conference schedule for the 2024-25 season with a game against Penn State. The matchup will take place on Sunday, December 29, at the Bryce Jordan Center in State College, Pennsylvania.

The game marks the 49th meeting between the two teams in this longstanding intrastate rivalry. Historically, Penn has led the series with a record of 31-17. However, Penn State has been dominant in recent encounters, winning the last four games and eight of the last nine. The Quakers' most recent victory over Penn State was on November 23, 2002.

Fans can follow the game through various media channels. It will be available to watch on Peacock and listen to via the Quaker Audio Network (QAN), where Matt Leon and Stan Pawlak will provide commentary.

Penn's team includes three new transfers: Ethan Roberts from Drake, Dylan Williams from Triton College, and Michael Zanoni from Mercer. Among them, Roberts is notable for his previous accolade as Patriot League Rookie of the Year while at Army.

Senior Nick Spinoso leads the team in rebounds per game this season among Ivy League players. Additionally, sophomore Sam Brown has made significant contributions with his performance against Maine earlier this season.
