Penn College's men's lacrosse team has earned notable recognition in the United East Men's Lacrosse Players of the Week awards. As announced on Monday, Owen Kupsey and Walt Heiser have been named the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respectively. This marks the second time this season that Penn College has swept these awards.

Kupsey, a freshman from Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, led the offensive efforts for the Wildcats. He scored four goals each in two games against Alvernia and Neumann, contributing significantly to the team's victories. Against the Golden Wolves of Alvernia, he scored a hat-trick in the first half, accumulating half of the Wildcats' eight total goals for the match. In the game against Neumann, Kupsey concluded with five points, aiding in a decisive 21-6 win.

On the defensive side, Heiser played a pivotal role with his performance. He accumulated ten ground balls and created three turnovers across the two games. During the match against Alvernia, he led the defensive unit by securing four ground balls, which held the opponents to just three goals. Against Neumann, Heiser collected six ground balls – a season high for him – and caused three turnovers in the 21-6 victory.

Penn College’s achievements in the weekly awards highlight the strength and skill of both their offensive and defensive plays.
