Penn College faced Gwynedd Mercy in a nonconference men's soccer match on Thursday, ending in a 1-1 draw. The Wildcats' record now stands at 6-4-3, while the Griffins hold a 2-6-5 record.

The game began with an early goal from Cooper Smith, who scored his second goal of the season just 21 seconds into the match. Smith capitalized on his own rebound to give Penn College a 1-0 lead. Gwynedd Mercy responded with an equalizer in the 25th minute, leaving both teams tied at halftime.

In the second half, Penn College's goalkeeper Justin Potts was kept busy, making five of his eight saves during this period.

Penn College outshot Gwynedd Mercy 17-16; however, Gwynedd Mercy had more shots on target with nine compared to Penn College's five. The Wildcats also held a slight edge in corner kicks with six to Gwynedd Mercy's three.

Penn College is set to host St. Mary's on Saturday at 1 p.m.
