Penn College tennis teams secure wins against Clarks Summit University

David Straub Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach | Penn College Wildcats

Penn College's tennis teams began their spring season with nonconference victories at Clarks Summit University. The men's team won 8-1, while the women's team secured a 6-3 victory. Including matches from the fall, the Penn College men now hold a record of 2-1 and the women are at 1-3. Both Clarks Summit teams have records of 0-1.

For the men's team, Penn College won five singles and all three doubles matches. Paul Langbein at No. 1 singles, Kyle Shuler at No. 2 singles, Jesse Kight at No. 3 singles, Logan Ogden at No. 5 singles, and Grayson Tanner at No. 6 singles were victorious in both their singles and doubles matches alongside Langbein/Shuler at No. 1 doubles, Kight/Ogden/Tanner in their respective doubles positions.

The women's team saw double winners in Ellen Buckley at No. 1 singles, Lauren Peck at No. 2 singles, Emma Fox at No. 5 singles, CiCi Miller at No. 6 singles, as well as Buckley/Peck and Fox/Miller winning their doubles matches.

Penn College will next face Juniata College in a nonconference match scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
