Penn College's tennis teams concluded their United East-season finale with losses against Penn State Harrisburg on Saturday. The men's team was defeated 7-2, while the women's team lost 9-0. The Wildcats' men's team ended the conference season with a record of 1-5 and an overall record of 2-7. The women's team finished with a conference record of 0-5 and an overall record of 2-8. Meanwhile, Penn State Harrisburg's men's team holds a conference record of 4-1 and an overall record of 8-4, and its women's team has a conference record of 4-1 and an overall record of 7-5.
In the matches, Penn College's men secured victories in two singles competitions. Paul Langbein achieved a win at No. 1 singles with scores of 4-6, 7-5, and 10-4. Logan Ogden won at No. 5 singles with scores of 7-6 (7-4 tiebreaker) and 7-6 (7-5 tiebreaker). On the women's side, all six singles matches were lost along with three doubles matches. Lauren Peck at No. 2 singles had one of the more competitive matches but fell short with scores of 7-5, 6-0. Georgia Macensky also put up a fight at No.3 singles but lost with scores of 6-3, 6-1.
The next match for Penn College is scheduled as a home nonconference game against King's College at 1 p.m. on Wednesday.
