Penn College faced a setback in their women's tennis match against Penn State Altoona, losing 6-3 in a nonconference game on Saturday. The Wildcats' record now stands at 2-1, while the Nittany Lions improved to 6-4.
In doubles play, Georgia Macensky and Faith Murray secured a win for Penn College at No. 2 doubles with an 8-6 score. However, Altoona dominated No. 1 doubles with an 8-0 victory and claimed a win by forfeit at No. 3 doubles.
In singles competition, Faith Murray achieved success in her No. 2 match with scores of 6-3, 6-1. Jordan Specht also contributed to the Wildcats' efforts by winning her No. 4 singles match after a challenging contest that ended with scores of 5-7, 6-3, and a decisive tiebreaker of 10-7.
With this match concluded, Penn College wraps up its fall season.
