Penn College tennis teams fall to Penn State Berks

Penn College faced defeats in tennis matches against Penn State Berks on Monday. The men's team lost 7-2, while the women's team was defeated 9-0 in United East action. This result leaves the Wildcat men with a conference record of 1-4 and an overall record of 2-6. The women hold a conference record of 0-4 and an overall record of 2-7. Meanwhile, Berks' men's team stands at 2-2 in the conference and 7-3 overall, and their women's team is at 1-3 in the conference and 1-9 overall.

In the men's competition, Penn College secured two victories in singles matches but lost four singles matches and all three doubles matches. Paul Langbein triumphed at No. 1 singles with scores of 6-4, 6-4, while Logan Ogden won at No. 5 singles with scores of 6-4, 6-2.

The women's team lost all six singles matches as well as all three doubles matches. Ellen Buckley and Emma Fox had closely contested matches at No. 1 and No. 3 singles respectively, each extending their opponents to three sets before succumbing by a score of 10-7 in the third set.

Looking ahead, Penn College is set to host Penn State Harrisburg for UE matches on Saturday at 1 p.m.
