Penn College athletes earn spots on CSC academic all-district soccer team

Six student-athletes from the Penn College women's soccer team have been named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Division III Women's Soccer Team. The announcement was made on Tuesday, recognizing their achievements both on the field and in academics.

The honorees include senior forward Kaelynn Sheetz, junior goalkeeper Nicole Lichtinger, midfielder Shannon O'Day, defender BillieGean Hennessy, sophomore midfielder Wiley Egan, and defender Brooke Klinger. These athletes met the criteria of being at least sophomores with a GPA of 3.50 or higher and having participated in 90% of their team's contests or started in 66% during the 2023 season.

The CSC Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Teams acknowledge top student-athletes nationwide for their dual performances academically and athletically. The program also includes divisions such as NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA. Those selected for the Academic All-District® are eligible for consideration on the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. The results for first-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be revealed on December 20.
