The University of Pennsylvania's cross country teams are set to compete in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships at the Blue and White Golf Course in University Park, Pennsylvania. The event is scheduled for Friday, November 11, 2022, with the women's 6K race starting at 10:30 a.m. and the men's 10K race following at 11:30 a.m.

The regional championship resumed in 2021 after being canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic. Last year, Princeton claimed victory on the men's side with 40 points, while Georgetown won the women's competition with 43 points.

The Blue and White Golf Course has been a frequent host for this championship since its major renovation in 2007. It will again serve as the venue in 2024.

Representing Penn's women’s team are Olivia Babski, Lizzy Bader, Lara Cota, Olivia Morganti, Lily Murphy, Bronwyn Patterson, Katie Pou, and Maeve Stiles. On the men’s side are Zubeir Dagane, Sahil Dodda, Dennis Fortuna, Troy Hill, Justin Iler, Luke Johnson, and Michael Keehan.

Earlier this season at the Spiked Shoe Invitational held on the same course in September, Maeve Stiles led much of her race before finishing fifth. Phoebe White also performed well alongside teammates Bader and Murphy who finished within the top 25. For the men’s team during that event, Oliver Stewart placed highest among his peers at 13th place.

In their last outing at Van Cortlandt Park for the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships (Ivy Heps), Stiles secured third place overall for Penn's women’s team which achieved a third-place finish collectively. This performance marked only their second time having three All-Ivy runners simultaneously—a feat first accomplished back in 2019.

Meanwhile at Ivy Heps on Friday past; Penn's men earned sixth place overall led by senior captain Michael Keehan finishing as top scorer for his squad coming through twenty-first individually across five miles distance covered competitively under twenty-six minutes mark alongside four other fellow Quakers scorers including Luke Johnson close behind him ranked twenty-ninth position ultimately contributing towards cumulative point tally totaling up hundred sixty-three collectively accrued thereby respectively concluded successfully competing altogether therein likewise similarly too indeed
