Penn College men's lacrosse team achieved its first win of the season with a decisive 20-5 victory over William Pace on Sunday. The Wildcats improved their record to 1-3, while the Pacers also moved to 1-3.

The game started with AJ Dotson scoring in the first minute. Will Ehret followed with another goal at the 12:13 mark. Aidan McFalls, Mason Nester, and Sam Nice contributed to a 5-1 lead by the end of the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Dotson, McFalls, Brendan Kuczma, and Jake Small extended the lead to 9-3. Brody Borkowski added another goal just before halftime.

The third quarter saw a five-goal streak for Penn College. Schlachta and Gage Mcclune scored early in the period. Dotson added two more goals for a hat-trick performance, and Schlachta made it 15-3 with his second goal.

Schlachta opened the fourth quarter with his third goal. Jesse Weick and Paul Hornberger scored next, followed by Dylan Keene's man-down goal. Connor Stank concluded the scoring with a late goal.

Fourteen Wildcats scored during the match, with seventeen players registering points against William Pace. Dotson led with four goals, while Schlachta had three. McFalls scored twice and provided an assist.

Defensively, Nester caused four turnovers. Dax Shallis, Alex Hammond, and Ryan Twist combined for five saves in net. Borkowski excelled at faceoffs, winning ten out of thirteen and collecting eight ground balls.

Dante Baranello was notable for William Pace with two goals.

Next up for Penn College is a match against Greensboro College on Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m.
