Penn College finishes seventh in Pennsylvania Classic golf tournament

Penn College's men's golf team secured a seventh-place finish in the Pennsylvania Classic, an 18-team competition held at the Penn State Blue Course. The team recorded a total score of 627 over two days.

Gavin Baer led the team with a tie for 15th place, scoring 151 after rounds of 77 and 74 on the par-72 course. Other contributors to Penn College's score included Peyton Mussina, who tied for 28th with scores of 78 and 79, Will Orwig who tied for 43rd with scores of 81 and 79, Trevor Keaton who tied for 59th with scores of 84 and 80, and Brady Hardy who tied for 77th with scores of 79 and 90.

Franklin and Marshall claimed the team title with a total score of 582, overcoming Allegheny's first-day lead. Swarthmore finished third with a score of 588. The top individual performers were Dylan Zhang from Swarthmore and Roy Anderson from Franklin and Marshall, both finishing at one-under-par with scores of 142.

Penn College will next compete in the Elizabethtown College Spring Invitational at Hershey Country Club East on Thursday at 1 p.m.
