PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Megan Kurian netted her first career hat-trick to lead Penn College in a 7-2 victory at La Roche on Sunday in nonconference women's soccer action. The Wildcats recorded their third-straight victory and remain unbeaten with a 5-0-3 record while La Roche fell to 1-6-0.

Penn College tallied four goals in the first half and three more in the second while surrendering one goal in each half to the Redhawks. La Roche opened the scoring with a quick strike in the second minute of action and Wiley Egan scored the equalizer at the 3:01 mark. Kurian scored her first goal of the afternoon at the 14:18 mark and Olivia Casella followed just four minutes later to give the Wildcats a 3-1 lead. Rylee Oliphant gave the Wildcats a 4-1 lead before halftime at the 39:37 mark.

After La Roche scored three minutes into the second half, Kurian polished off her hat-trick with back-to-back goals in the 60th and 62nd minutes, and Oliphant scored her second goal in the 66th minute for the 7-2 victory.

Kurian finished the day with seven points while adding an assist on Egan's goal, and Cassie Johnson dished out two assists. Morgan Solano collected two saves while playing all 90 minutes in net for the Wildcats. Penn College fired off 26 shots (17 on-goal) and lined up for seven corner kicks while limiting La Roche to eight shots (4 on-goal) and two corners.

Penn College remains on the road when they take on SUNY-ESF, Tuesday at 4 p.m.
