Penn College Tops Thiel, 8-0

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Penn College defeated visiting Thiel with an 8-0 victory in nonconference women's soccer on Wednesday night. The Wildcats maintain their unbeaten streak at 2-0-2, while the Tomcats fall to 1-3-0.

The Wildcats applied pressure early in the first 15 minutes before Wiley Egan scored on a cross from Megan Kurian in the 33rd minute. The duo made it 2-0 when Egan assisted Kurian in the 34th minute, followed by Cassie Johnson scoring the third goal in the 37th minute.

Olivia Casella netted a hat-trick with goals in the 48th, 51st, and 58th minutes, giving the Wildcats a seven-goal lead. Kathryn Dunn added the final goal in the 84th minute.

Penn College took a total of 41 shots with 28 on target, forcing Thiel's keepers to make 20 saves. Nicole Lichtinger had a quiet night with two saves for Penn College.

Next up for Penn College is a home game against Saint Vincent on Saturday at 1 p.m.
