State Senator Gene Yaw and State Representative Jamie Flick have announced the allocation of $3.5 million to three projects in Lycoming County. The funding comes from the state's Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP).

"Today’s awards will have a tremendous impact in our region by expanding local business, upgrading community care facilities and supporting much needed improvements in South Williamsport," said Yaw. "I was pleased to work with Rep. Flick to help secure this funding."

Flick added, "I’m thrilled to see this grant funding returned to our area. It will be put to great use as we enhance our local businesses, senior residential centers and municipal infrastructure, creating vital improvements for our community. This investment will strengthen our area and benefit everyone for years to come."

The RACP is managed by the Office of the Budget and supports projects that focus on economic, cultural, civic, recreational, and historical development. Projects under this program are required to have regional or multi-jurisdictional benefits and should contribute significantly to employment levels or economic activity.
