Penn College's women's tennis team faced a challenging nonconference match against Lock Haven University, resulting in a 9-0 defeat on Sunday. The match took place in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, leaving Penn College with an overall record of 2-3, while Lock Haven maintained an undefeated streak at 5-0.
Lock Haven dominated the competition by winning all six singles and three doubles matches. Among the Wildcats, Faith Murray delivered a competitive performance at No. 3 singles but ultimately lost with scores of 6-1 and 6-4. Georgia Macensky also showed resilience at No. 4 singles, ending with a 6-4, 6-1 loss. In doubles, the pair of Murray and Macensky put up a fight at No. 2 doubles but fell short with an 8-4 score.
Looking ahead, Penn College is set to travel to Bryn Athyn for their next match scheduled for Friday at 3 p.m.
