The Philadelphia Big 5 has released its latest weekly awards for men's and women's basketball. University of Pennsylvania senior guard Clark Slajchert has been named the Men's Player of the Week for the second time in three weeks.

Slajchert's recognition comes after scoring 22 points in each of Penn's games over the weekend, which included a loss to then-Ivy co-leader Cornell on Friday and a victory over Columbia on Saturday. His total of 44 points pushed him past the 1,000-point milestone for his career at Penn, making him the 43rd player in program history to achieve this feat. He reached this mark in 73 games, tied for the 18th fastest all-time. In Saturday's win against Columbia, Slajchert shot 8-of-11 from the field and made four out of five three-point attempts. He also contributed four assists, three rebounds, and one steal. The previous night against Cornell, he made four three-pointers and added two rebounds, two steals, and an assist.

Slajchert leads Penn in scoring with an average of 17.9 points per game and ranks third among Ivy League players in overall scoring. He also averages 3.1 rebounds per game with totals of 57 assists, 25 steals, and is second on his team with 55 three-point baskets.

Penn will conclude its regular season by hosting Ivy League co-leader Princeton at The Palestra on Saturday. This game marks the 250th meeting between the Quakers and Tigers with tipoff scheduled for 6 p.m., available to view locally on NBC Sports Philadelphia+.
