Penn College junior Peyton Mussina has been named United East Men's Golfer of the Week for the sixth time in his career. Mussina, hailing from Montoursville, Pennsylvania, achieved a second-place finish out of 69 players at the Northeast Shootout and tied for 14th in a 90-player field in Altoona.

During the 2022-23 season, Mussina was recognized as a First Team All-United East honoree after securing second place at the conference championship. He began this week at the Northeast Shootout in Wilmington, Delaware, with an impressive first-round score of 67 and followed it up with a round of 74. He was one of two golfers to finish below par on Monday and returned Tuesday morning to shoot even par, resulting in a total score of 212 (-1) over the two-day, three-round tournament. On Friday, Mussina recorded a score of 76, tying for 14th place.
