Penn College's golf team secured a victory at the Penn State Altoona Spring Invitational, held at the Sinking Valley Country Club in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The team achieved a total score of 305, leading a field of nine teams. This marks the Wildcats' second tournament win this season.
Peyton Mussina emerged as the individual medalist with a one-under-par 71 on the par 72 course, surpassing 50 competitors. Will Orwig also performed well, tying for second place with an even-par 72. Other notable performances from Penn College included Gunner Redmond and Treavor Keaton, who both tied for 16th place with scores of 81, and Gavin Baer, who tied for 22nd with an 84.
Following Penn College in the standings were Penn State Altoona with a score of 313, Susquehanna University and Mt. Aloysius College both scoring 322, Juniata College at 329, Pitt-Bradford at 331, Lancaster Bible College at 333, Carlow University at 349, and Juniata College B rounding out the field with a score of 372.
The Wildcats are set to compete next in the Gettysburg Spring Shootout at Penn National Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.
