Senate committee to review bill requiring hotline on student IDs

The Senate Education Committee will convene on Monday, July 1, 2024, to consider House Bill 1553. The meeting is scheduled to take place off the floor in the Rules Committee Conference Room.

House Bill 1553, introduced by Delloso, proposes an amendment to the Public School Code of 1949. The bill mandates that student identification cards for students in grades six through twelve include a suicide prevention hotline telephone number.
