State Senator Gene Yaw recently met with participants of the 2024 Leadership Lycoming program, which is sponsored by the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce. The program aims to develop and motivate effective leaders who understand the needs of their community.
During the program's State and Local Government Day, Sen. Yaw had the opportunity to interact with the current class participants. He expressed his enthusiasm for meeting the future leaders, stating, "Developing the next generation of leaders is important in any sector, whether that be government, academia, business, healthcare, or nonprofits. We are living and working in a time of accelerated change, and the Leadership Lycoming program will help prepare and shape our leaders of tomorrow."
Sen. Yaw, who has extensive experience in public service, shared his insights and discussed how legislative actions impact our day-to-day lives. The Leadership Lycoming program, which currently consists of over two dozen individuals in the Class of 2024, selects candidates based on their demonstrated leadership potential and sincere desire to contribute to their community. Businesses, corporations, and professional organizations nominate these individuals.
