Lock Haven University Athletics issued the following announcement on Feb. 23.
The Lock Haven University women’s track & field team is set to travel to the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Indoor Track & Field Championships this Saturday (Feb. 26) and Sunday (Feb. 27) hosted by Edinboro University.
In total, eight individuals hit a strong 14 individual PSAC auto-qualifying marks in ten events.
Riyana Owens will carry the torch for Lock Haven from the sprints. With NCAA DII Provisional marks in the 60m and 200m, Owens has qualified for the PSAC Championships in the 60m, 200m, and 400m. She is currently seeded second in both the 60m (7.65) and 200m (24.64) dash after setting school records in both events at the 2022 Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational. She is also listed as a member of the 4x400m relay team which is set to compete on Sunday.
Bollinger returns for yet another PSAC Championship in the 60m hurdles. She enters this year’s championship seeded 5th after hitting a personal-best time of 9.27 at last week’s Penn State Tune-Up. Last spring, the hurdle specialist finished fourth in both the 100mH and 400mH at the outdoor championship event.
In her debut season in the event, Anna Manley is currently the No. 13 seed in the women’s 800m run. Aside from an 800m leg of a Distance Medley Relay earlier this year, Manley has only run the event once in her career. She set an impressive 2:23.92 at last week’s Penn State Tune-Up, a mark that would eventually qualify her for the PSAC Championship meet.
On the distance side of things, the trio of Cadie Kiser, Morgan Perry and Elaina Klinger will look to make magic happen. Kiser has qualified in the mile, 3000m and 5000m. Perry joins her in the 3k and 5k, and Klinger will join them both in the 5k on Saturday.
Kiser and Perry will focus on the 5000m and 3000m double this weekend. Kiser is currently seeded 7th in the 5000 with her mark of 18.19.48 and 10th in the 3000m with her time of 10:36.00. Perry finds herself seeded 9th and 15th in the 5000m and 3000m respectively. Both will contend for podium finishes after running to All-Region status this past cross country season. Klinger wraps up the trio in the 5000m with her PSAC 15th seeded time of 18:49.74.
Representing Lock Haven University field events, Megan Manglaviti and Hannah Weddle will both throw in the women’s weight throw. The two are seeded No. 8 and No. 16 in the event respectively. Both have had incredible seasons in the event and have thrown to multiple personal bests through out the year.
Weddle will also participate in the women’s shot-put after qualifying for the event and throwing a personal best 12.10m at the Penn State Tune-Up this past weekend. Her mark seeds her 15th heading into the championship weekend.
Karina Long will lead Lock Haven in the jump events. In her preferred event, the long jump, Long is seeded second heading into the championship weekend with her 5.58m mark set early this year. Her triple jump mark of 10.92m seeds her at PSAC No. 8. Long has qualified at each PSAC Championship available since her freshman year and carries a wealth of experience into the championships.
Lock Haven’s Distance Medley Relay team and 4x400m relay teams enter seeded No. 5 and No. 8 respectively. A host of Bald Eagles may participate in each relay team and final line-ups have not yet been named for those events.
I am really excited to see how our programs do. We have a strong number of athletes appearing in the top-10 in their events, and they will be competing for points in this year's championship.

A Look at Historic LHU Finishes
At the last indoor PSAC Championships (*2020), the Bald Eagles placed tenth with 35.5 points.
Laurel Moyer earned the last individual title for the Bald Eagles after her decisive victory in the 5000m. Moyer waited until late in the race before gapping the field and running away from Edinboro’s Hope Pietrocarlo late in the event. Moyer also finished second in the mile and 3000m at the championship event.
