Rep. Joe Hamm from Lycoming/Sullivan has announced a $40,000 grant for the VFW Riders Group District 15 in Muncy. This grant is intended to support the organization's mission of providing assistance to regional veterans. It will be used to offer resources such as home repair and food assistance to veterans in need.

Rep. Hamm praised the group, stating, “Just as our region has been blessed by the service of our veterans, we are equally blessed by organizations like the Riders Group for their commitment to ensuring the men and women who sacrificed so much for us get the help and support they need.” He added, “This grant is a worthwhile investment in giving something back to our veterans.”

This grant is a part of over $1 million in statewide grants given through the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs’ (DMVA) Veterans’ Trust Fund (VTF). These grants were awarded to multiple county Veterans Affairs departments and nonprofit organizations across the Commonwealth.

Since the inception of the VTF grant program in 2013, more than $8.5 million has been awarded to organizations serving veterans in Pennsylvania. For further information about the VTF, individuals can contact Representative Joe Hamm's office in the 84th District of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.
