FOIA Request to Clinton County Election Department Regarding Voting Machines Pre-Election Test Report on October 30, 2024.

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Lycoming News have sent a request for records under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law, 65 §66.1 et seq., to the Clinton County Election Department.

The request specifically seeks access to the pre-election test reports for election voting machines in PDF format. The requested fields include the test date, machine manufacture, machine model number, and machine status (pass or failed).

As a media organization dedicated to gathering and reporting news to the public, access to such public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These responsibilities include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as a media professional.
