Throop leads Penn with record finish at Ivy League cross country championships

Dylan Throop led the University of Pennsylvania at the Ivy League Heptagonal Cross Country Championship, securing a second-place finish in the men's 8k race. His time of 22:46.4 set a new program record for Penn at this event. Throop's performance earned him his second All-Ivy First Team cross country honors.

Harvard's Graham Blank won the race, successfully defending his league title. Other notable performances for Penn included senior Luke Johnson, who finished 15th with a time of 23:25.9. Nick Carpenter and Sahil Dodda also contributed to the team's efforts, finishing 23rd and 24th respectively.

On the women's side, freshman Olivia Williams was Penn's top performer, placing 18th with a personal-best time of 20:51.6 in the 6k race. She was followed closely by Miranda Schriver in 21st place, who also achieved a personal-best time of 20:54.7.

Penn will continue its postseason at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships on November 15 in State College, Pennsylvania.
