State Senator Gene Yaw recently hosted his annual "Breakfast Meeting on Agriculture" in Muncy, Pennsylvania. The event saw participation from nearly 125 individuals involved in agriculture and agribusiness across Lycoming, Union, and Sullivan counties.

The meeting took place at Today Farm and featured a diverse group of attendees, including Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture Secretary Russell Redding, farmers, agribusiness professionals, members of 4-H, students from Montgomery and Montoursville FFA programs, dairy representatives, county fair royalty, teachers, and elected officials. Hayley Painter, co-founder and co-CEO of Painterland Sisters Organic Skyr Yogurt, was the guest speaker.

Senator Yaw stated that the purpose of the discussion is to foster a "friendly dialogue and exchange of ideas on agricultural and environmental topics impacting our region." He added that the meeting aims to address concerns and answer questions from participants. He expressed gratitude towards all attendees and volunteers for their involvement in highlighting key issues facing the industry.

Painterland Sisters Organic Skyr Yogurt was founded by Hayley and Stephanie Painter in Tioga County in 2020. Their yogurt is produced using organic whole milk sweetened with fruits and cane sugar sourced primarily from American farms. The product is now available at nearly 2,000 grocery stores nationwide.
