Penn College secured a 1-0 victory over Keystone College in the first round of the United East men's soccer playoffs. The match took place in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and concluded Keystone's season with a record of 2-4-2. Meanwhile, Penn College improved their record to 11-4-3 and advanced to the quarterfinals scheduled for Saturday at Cairn.
During the first half, Penn College struggled to create scoring opportunities as Keystone focused on defense. The Wildcats managed only two shots on target from Logan Pietrzak in the 32nd and 43rd minutes.
In the second half, Penn College intensified their efforts. Austin Stapleton had two shots on target, while Scott Goldfeder added another within the first ten minutes. The breakthrough came in the 67th minute when Robert Antonini scored following a pass from Logan Pietrzak that split two defenders.
Overall, Penn College outshot Keystone 14-5 and held a slight edge in corner kicks with a 2-1 advantage. Cole Catherman recorded his tenth win as goalkeeper for Penn College.
