Penn College's women's soccer team concluded its regular season with a 5-1 victory over Bryn Athyn, maintaining an undefeated record. The Wildcats finished with a 7-0-1 record in the United East Conference and 14-0-4 overall. Bryn Athyn ended their season at 3-4-1 in the conference and 6-8-1 overall.
The Wildcats are expected to secure either the No. 2 or No. 3 seed for the upcoming United East playoffs.
During the match, Sierra Klinger assisted on the first three goals for Penn College in the first half. She connected with Wiley Egan in the opening minute and then set up Cassie Johnson for two more goals in the 14th and 30th minutes, giving Penn College a 3-1 lead at halftime.
Johnson scored her 13th goal of the season from Olivia Casella's pass in the 56th minute. Klinger provided her fourth assist when she helped Megan Kurian score in the 76th minute, making it a final score of 5-1.
Kurian's goal was her 25th of the season, breaking Kaelynn Sheetz's previous single-season record set last year.
Penn College outshot Bryn Athyn with a total of 20 shots to their opponent's 11, including a close contest of shots on target at 12 to nine. Both teams had four corner kicks each during the game.
Nicole Lichtinger achieved her tenth win as goalkeeper, recording eight saves throughout the match.
Looking ahead, Penn College will host an opponent yet to be determined for the United East quarterfinals on Saturday.
