Penn College's volleyball team faced a setback in their final nonconference match of the season, falling to Widener University in three sets. The Wildcats' record now stands at 3-21 as they approach the last week of regular-season play. Widener improved its standing to 16-10 following the victory.
In the match, Widener secured set victories with scores of 25-5, 25-16, and 25-6. Navaeh Ward led Penn College with eight kills, bringing her season total to 175 and placing her fifth in the program's single-season records. Ward also contributed seven digs and two aces during the game. Ava Harple added four kills, reaching a total of 102 for the season.
Looking ahead, Penn College will host St. Mary's for their final home United East match on Saturday at 1 p.m.
