The Penn College Men's soccer team concluded their journey in the United East Conference playoffs following a 5-1 defeat against St. Mary's on October 28, 2023. The match took place at St. Mary's City, Maryland, where the Wildcats faced off as the fifth seed against the fourth-seeded Seahawks.

The game began with a strong performance from St. Mary's, who managed to establish a commanding 4-0 lead by halftime. The Seahawks extended their advantage to five goals early in the second half before Cooper Smith scored for Penn College with a penalty kick in the 70th minute.

During the match, Penn College was outshot by St. Mary's with a total of 23 shots to their eight and had four shots on goal compared to St. Mary's twelve. Goalkeeper Cole Catherman made seven saves for the Wildcats, while Brandon Ratjavong, Jack Lenosky, Nathan Schwartz, and Cooper Smith each contributed with a shot on goal.

This loss marks the end of Penn College's season, finishing with an overall record of 7-7-3 and a conference record of 2-3-1. Meanwhile, St. Mary's advances to the Volt Division Semifinal with a record of 9-6-3.
