Wildcats achieve strong results at FITA Invitational

Dustin Bartron Head Archery Coach | Penn College Wildcats

Penn College began its season at the FITA Invitational held in Columbia. The Wildcats were the only collegiate team participating in the event, achieving notable results across various categories.

In the men's bow hunter category, Nathaniel Haefka secured first place, followed by John Kleinfelter in second, Justin Rinehimer in third, and Sean Donovan in fourth.

For men's compound, Tyler Schoonover took first place with Aaron Cummings and David Fox finishing second and third respectively.

In men's recurve, Tim Lamont achieved a score of 524.1 to claim first place. Tanner Huff was close behind with a score of 524 for second place, while Josh Maring finished third with a score of 390.

The women's bowhunter category saw Rylee Butler scoring 547 points. Erica Gause followed closely with 546 points and Sapphire Naugle scored 512 points.

Chelsea Douglass won the women's compound category with a score of 546. Sabrina Toplovich came in second with a score of 531.

Kaylee Burk claimed victory in the women's recurve category.
