Penn College's volleyball team faced a challenging match against Penn State Abington, ultimately falling 3-2 in a five-set contest. This defeat impacts Penn College's standing in the United East Conference, leaving them with an overall record of 4-16 and winless in conference play at 0-5. Meanwhile, Penn State Abington improved to 10-13 overall and secured their first conference victory, bringing their UE record to 1-3.

The match began with Abington taking the first set 25-19. However, Penn College responded by winning the next two sets with scores of 25-20 and 25-15. The fourth set saw Abington leveling the score with a 25-15 win before they clinched the final set at 15-9 to secure their victory.

Key performances from Penn College included Coryn Oswald, who recorded 16 digs and 14 kills, and Cheyenne Stein, who contributed six aces and provided 33 assists. For PS Abington, Jayla Hickey led with 13 kills while Laine Kulpinski added an impressive tally of 11 aces and assisted on 27 plays. Morgan Schaefer also made significant contributions defensively with her team-leading total of 21 digs.

Looking ahead, Penn College will conclude its season by hosting St. Mary's (Md.) College on Saturday, October 28th at 1 p.m.
