Penn College's women's volleyball team faced a setback on Saturday, falling to Penn State Harrisburg with a 3-0 defeat in a United East conference match. The Wildcats' current record stands at 4-13 overall and 0-3 within the conference, while their opponents improved to 8-10 overall and 1-1 in the UE.
The match saw the Lions keeping the Wildcats to just 16 points in each of the three sets, securing a straightforward victory. Marianna Dariychuk and Cheyenne Stein were notable performers for Penn College, contributing ten kills and nineteen assists respectively.
Penn State Harrisburg capitalized on their service game with fifteen aces and maintained a hitting percentage of .247 throughout the match. Coryn Oswald led her team with three aces, adding five kills and an assist to her performance. Hailey DeBrody also contributed significantly with four kills and nine digs.
