Penn College faced a challenging match against Mount Aloysius, resulting in a 3-0 loss during a nonconference women's volleyball game on Tuesday. The Wildcats' record now stands at 2-6, while the Mounties improved to 5-10.
In the first set, Penn College put up a strong fight but ultimately lost 25-23. Mount Aloysius then secured the next two sets with scores of 25-16 and 25-18.
Coryn Oswald led Penn College with eight kills, followed by Lauren Hergert with seven and Hailey DeBrody with three. Cheyenne Stein contributed four aces, while Hergert and Christine Limbert each had two blocks. Stein also led in assists with 17, supported by Oswald's two and DeBrody's one. In terms of digs, Brooke Simmons achieved 19, Oswald recorded 14, and Stein added 12.
Penn College is scheduled to return to action on Saturday at the Widener Tri-Meet at 1 p.m.
