Three wrestlers from Penn College showcased strong performances at the John Reese Duals held at Wilkes University on Sunday. Each wrestler secured victories against regionally ranked opponents.

Kaden Ware, ranked sixth in the National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III Mideast Regional rankings, achieved two wins by decision. One of these victories was over Michael Richardson of Wilkes, who is ranked fifth in the Southeast Region. Ware also won a major decision match at 133 pounds.

Noah Hunt, holding fourth place in the Mideast rankings, recorded a technical fall and a major decision win over Jack Bauer of Wilkes. Bauer is ranked seventh in the Southeast Region and had previously defeated Hunt last year. Hunt also added another win by decision at 141 pounds.

Travis Green, ranked eighth in the Mideast at 165 pounds, secured two pins and delivered a significant victory with a decision over Konrad Parker of Ithaca. Parker is ranked third in the Mideast and had previously defeated Green earlier this season at the Ithaca Invitational.

Other notable performances for Penn College included TJ Martin going 2-1 at 149 pounds. Ryan Trimber and Brett Patton each won extra countable matches against Keystone and Oneonta respectively. Nicholas Woodruff, an incoming spring semester transfer, won an extra match against Kennedy of Oneonta and Darmody-Latham of Ithaca. In varsity action, Woodruff faced Mazzella of Ithaca, who is third-ranked heavyweight in the Mideast Region. Despite leading with two takedowns for a score of 6-1, Woodruff had to default due to injury.

In team competition, Penn College's record fell to 8-8 after losses to SUNY Oneonta (24-21), Wilkes (35-16), and Ithaca (30-19).

Penn College will next compete against Alvernia on Friday at 7 p.m.
