Penn College tennis teams end regular season with losses to Lancaster Bible

Penn College tennis teams concluded their regular season with losses against Lancaster Bible College in United East play on Saturday. The men's team lost 6-3, while the women's team fell 7-2. This result leaves the Penn College men with an overall record of 6-7 and a conference record of 1-4. The women ended their season with a 3-11 overall record and also finished 1-4 in conference matches.

The Lancaster Bible men's team holds a conference record of 2-2 and an overall record of 10-5. Their women's team shares the same conference standing at 2-2, with an overall record of 8-6.

In the matches, Penn College's men secured victories in two singles matches and one doubles match. Tucker Phillippe-Johansson won at No. 1 singles with scores of 6-4, 6-2, while Paul Langbein triumphed at No. 2 singles with scores of 6-0, 4-6, and 6-4. Together, Phillippe-Johansson and Langbein also won at No. 1 doubles by a score of 8-2.

For the women's team, Alexis Youse emerged victorious at No. 4 singles with scores of 6-2, 1-6, and a close final set at 7-5. The duo Georgia Macensky/Youse won their match at No. 2 doubles by a scoreline of 8-2.

Penn College is now awaiting confirmation early next week to see if they will advance to postseason play.
