Penn College teams compete at NCAA Regional Cross-Country Championships

Mitchell Campbell and Skyelar Splain led their respective Penn College teams at the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region Cross-Country Championships in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. The men's team finished 25th overall, with Campbell placing 70th in the 8K race, clocking a time of 27:20. Other contributors to the men's team score included Matthew Woolcock, Alec Rees, Dillon Betts, and Noah Bowers.

The women's team placed 29th, with Splain finishing 189th in the 6K race with a time of 30:17. Additional participants for the women's team were Rosey Thomas, Emily Witherow, Isabella Telford, and Johannah Devore.

In the men's competition, Gavin McElhennon from Johns Hopkins secured first place among 222 runners with a time of 25:02. Carnegie Mellon won the team title with a total of 22 points.

On the women's side, Alex Ross from Johns Hopkins finished first out of 209 competitors with a time of 21:42. Her performance helped Johns Hopkins clinch the championship with a score of 40 points.

Penn College's participation in this event reflects their continued involvement in regional cross-country competitions.
