Penn College's cross-country teams participated in the Lebanon Valley College Invitational on Saturday, where the men's team secured 16th place with 439 points, and the women's team finished 22nd with 565 points. Mitch Campbell was the standout performer for the men, while Madison Shaffer led the women.
For Penn College's men's team, Campbell completed the 8K course in 27:12, earning him a 24th place finish. Alec Rees came in at 130th with a time of 30:45. Other notable finishes included Noah Bowers at 164th in 32:46, Spencer Doughty at 169th in 33:12, and Dillon Betts at 180th in 34:39.
In the men's competition overall, Navy emerged victorious among a field of 22 teams with a total of 46 points. Kevin Baranoski from Community College of Baltimore County Essex claimed top individual honors out of 216 runners with a time of 25:17.
On the women's side for Penn College, Shaffer finished her race in a time of 25:25 over a distance of 5K, placing her at position number 139. Skyelar Splain followed closely behind at position number 140 with a time of 25:33. Additional participants included Rosey Thomas finishing at position number157 in a time of27:47, Isabella Telford finishing184thin37:28,and Amanda Confer completing her run at190thin44:55.
Navy also led the women's field comprising23teamswith26points.Cera Gaston from Alvernia topped this groupof190runnerswithan impressive timeof18:31.
