Tom Leeser Head Cross Country Coach | Penn College Wildcats
Penn College and Lycoming College faced off in cross-country races on Monday, resulting in a split outcome. The Penn College men's team emerged victorious with a score of 16-46, while the women's team was defeated 18-43.
In the men's race, Mitch Campbell led the Wildcats, finishing first among 15 runners with a time of 29:56 over an 8K course. He was closely followed by Matt Woolcock in second place at 29:57. Other notable finishes for Penn College included Alec Rees in third (30:41), Chase Ebeling in fourth (31:30), Holden Furey in sixth (32:10), and Jacob Parker in seventh (32:11). Additional participants were Noah Bowers, who placed ninth at 33:26, and Cody Patchell, who finished 14th with a time of 48:48. Lycoming's Ken Draper achieved a fifth-place finish at 31:59.
For the women’s race, Elaina Brady led Penn College by securing third place with a time of 27:13 over a 6K course. Skyelar Splain came seventh at 28:43, followed by Natalie Greiner in twelfth (33:00), Kayleigh Miller in thirteenth (33:21), and Maddie Adams in fifteenth (38:19). Kathryn Yocum from Lycoming claimed first place among the field of sixteen runners with a time of 25:50.
Looking ahead, Penn College is set to participate in the United East Championships at Cairn University on Saturday, October 28th.
