The Penn College men's and women's cross-country teams participated in the Lebanon Valley College Dutchmen Invitational on Saturday. The men's team finished 13th with a score of 392 points, while the women's team placed 16th, accumulating 444 points.
Leading the men was Alec Rees, who completed the 8,000-meter course in 30:09.60, securing the 101st position. Other notable performances came from Dean Fulton (134th), Noah Bowers (143rd), Nick Snow (170th), AJ Wiles (177th), Will Deem (178th), William Roever (202nd), and Chad Bomboy (203rd).
Messiah College emerged victorious in the men's competition among 17 teams, with Brody Beiler from S.W.I.F.T. Racing claiming individual honors with a time of 26:09.20.
On the women's side, Avery Baker led Penn College by finishing the 5,000-meter course in 25:40 and earning the 133rd spot. Cinnamon Digan followed closely at 135th place, Taylor Schon at 136th, Kayleigh Miller at 144th, and Aubrey Stetts at 155th.
In the women's event, Messiah College also took top honors among the competing teams. Lauran Wick from Lebanon Valley claimed first place individually out of a field of 161 women with a time of 18:42.50.
Penn College is scheduled to compete next at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational on September 25.
