The University of Pennsylvania men's basketball team achieved a notable victory over Dartmouth, winning 82-69 at Leede Arena on Friday night. The Quakers demonstrated a strong offensive performance, initiating a 13-0 run in the first half that turned an early deficit into a significant lead. This win marks Penn's first victory in Hanover since 2019 and improves their overall record to 10-15, with a 2-8 standing in Ivy League play. Meanwhile, Dartmouth's record fell to 5-18 overall and 1-9 in the league.

"ROAD QUAKERS. @PennMBB jumped out to a 17-point halftime lead and comes away with a critical road win in Hanover, defeating Dartmouth 82-69. Sam Brown had a career-high 26 points for the Quakers," stated Ivy League (@IvyLeague) on February 24, 2024.

The Quakers' performance included several highlights: they scored their second-highest points against a Division I opponent this season and matched their season high of three-point shots made against such opponents with fourteen successful attempts. Their shooting accuracy was also notable, achieving their second-best percentage from the floor this season against Division I teams.

Freshman Sam Brown played a key role off the bench, scoring a career-high of 26 points and achieving six out of seven successful three-point shots. His performance tied him for the best by any Penn player during Coach Steve Donahue's era, alongside Devon Goodman’s similar achievement against Yale in February 2020.

Sophomore Cam Thrower also set personal records with sixteen points and four three-pointers. Other significant contributions came from Clark Slajchert with twelve points and Tyler Perkins with ten points.

Dartmouth struggled offensively in the first half but saw Dusan Neskovic score twenty-three points and Jayden Williams add ten more by the game's end.

Penn will continue its Ivy League schedule facing Harvard at Lavietes Pavilion in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
