Tom Leeser Head Cross Country Coach | Penn College Wildcats
The University of Pennsylvania cross country teams competed at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships on Friday, held at Lehigh University's Goodman campus course. The women's team achieved a third-place finish with 104 points, tying for their best regional finish in program history and marking their best performance on the Lehigh course. The men's team secured eighth place with 255 points.
Olivia Morganti led the Quakers in the women's event, finishing fifth with a program-record regional time and personal best of 19:50.2. Maeve Stiles followed closely in eighth place, clocking a career-best time of 19:57.1. Both times are now the top two in program history for the NCAA regional.
Morganti's performance earned her an automatic berth to the NCAA championships, marking her first collegiate qualification for nationals. Stiles will enter an at-large pool with hopes of qualifying for nationals for a second consecutive season.
Lily Murphy also joined Morganti and Stiles on the All-Region team by achieving a career-best time of 20:24.1 to secure 20th place.
On the men's side, Sahil Dodda led his teammates with a personal-best time of 30:07.7 on the 10K course, earning him a spot on All-Region for the first time in his collegiate career.
Women's 6K results included Olivia Morganti (5th, 19:50.2), Maeve Stiles (8th, 19:57.1), Lily Murphy (20th, 20:24.1), Bronwyn Patterson (30th, 20:49.8), Miranda Schriver (41st, 21:01.3), Phoebe White (62nd, 21:20.2), and Fabianna Szorenyi (67th, 21:26).
Men's 10K results featured Sahil Dodda (22nd, 30:07.7), Luke Johnson (29th, 30:30.5), Nick Carpenter (62nd, 31:14.7), Will Shaughnessy (65th, 31:16.5), Silas Ruth (77th, 31:36.4), Rory Lieberman (96th, 31:52.5), and George Keen (120th,32:27).
