The Philadelphia Big 5 has announced its weekly awards, naming University of Pennsylvania senior guard Clark Slajchert as the Big 5 Men's Player of the Week. Slajchert is the second player from Penn to receive this recognition this season, following freshman Tyler Perkins who was honored on January 29.

Slajchert earned this accolade by leading his team in scoring during their recent games against Yale and Brown. In Friday's match against Ivy League leaders Yale, he scored 12 points. The following night, he recorded 32 points with a shooting performance of 12-of-20 from the field against Brown. This marked his third game this season scoring over 30 points and the fifth in his career, with two such performances against Brown.

Currently, Slajchert is Penn's leading scorer and ranks fourth among Ivy League players with an average of 17.5 points per game. Since returning from an injury sustained during a December 30 game at Houston, he has consistently scored in double figures in all three games played since his return. Throughout the season, he has scored double digits in every game except one—a nine-point effort against Monmouth.

Looking ahead, Penn will continue their Ivy League schedule with upcoming games against Dartmouth and Harvard scheduled for Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.
