Penn College faced a setback in their United East Conference match against Penn State Harrisburg, losing in three straight sets on Thursday afternoon. The Wildcats now have a conference record of 1-5 and an overall season record of 3-18, while the Nittany Lions improved to a 4-1 conference standing and are 13-6 overall.
In the match, Harrisburg secured victories with set scores of 25-16, 25-6, and 25-14. Nevaeh Ward led the Wildcats with seven kills and seven digs. Lana Howard achieved a .444 hitting percentage with four kills. Ava Harple contributed with a team-high of 11 digs, and Jo Hess provided 11 assists.
Looking ahead, Penn College will travel to Washington D.C. for the Gallaudet tri-match on Saturday. They are scheduled to play against United East member Bison and nonconference opponent McDaniel at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
