Penn College extended its winning streak to five games with a decisive 18-4 victory over Rosemont College in a United East men's lacrosse match on Saturday. This win brought the Wildcats' record to 2-0 in the United East conference and 7-5 overall. Meanwhile, the Ravens fell to 0-2 in the conference and 1-8 overall.
During the game, Penn College established a commanding lead of 8-0 by the end of the first quarter and extended it to 13-0 by halftime. In the third quarter, Penn College outscored Rosemont 4-2, while Rosemont edged out Penn College in the fourth quarter with a score of 2-1.
Jake Small was the top scorer for Penn College with four goals. Aidan McFalls contributed three goals and had a game-high of three assists. Harrison Schlachta added two more goals for his team.
The Wildcats dominated faceoffs, winning 17 out of 26, and were successful in 11 out of their 12 clear attempts. Alex Hammond secured the win as goalkeeper with nine saves.
Looking ahead, Penn College is set to host Kean University at home on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
