Penn College golfer Peyton Mussina has been named to the PING/GCAA Region 3 All-Region Team, as announced by the organization on Thursday. Mussina, who was recognized as the 2024 United East Individual Medalist and Golfer of the Year, is a trailblazer for Penn College, being the first from his institution to receive all-region honors. This accolade also marks a significant achievement for the conference, as it is the first such recognition since Sean Sigall from Rutgers-Camden in the 2019-20 season.

Mussina was among 15 golfers selected for all-region honors in Region 3. His performance this season was instrumental in leading his team to three tournament victories, including their second consecutive United East Championship title this spring. Additionally, he secured five other top-five finishes. At the United East Championship, Mussina shot a two-round total of 149 to claim victory by five strokes. He also won three other tournaments during the 2023-24 season: the Mountain Valley Classic, United East Fall Preview, and Drew Birdie Bash.

In addition to his wins, Mussina achieved four runner-up finishes at various events. He placed second at the Elizabethtown Classic and Swarthmore's Northeast Shootout. At Penn College's Northeast Elite tournament, he finished just one stroke behind fellow All-Region selection Shane Lawler from Franklin & Marshall and ahead of three other All-Region selections. In another close contest at the Gettysburg Spring Shootout, Mussina ended one stroke behind All-Region selection Charlie Doan from McDaniel but outperformed eight other All-Region honorees to secure second place.
